There is no such thing as a stupid question, and the fact that we are often asked these questions means that we still have a few more things to clear up.

Is the playarea available for play anytime?

Yes.  Unlike other children's gyms or playcenters where they are open to the public for play during specific times, our playarea is open during our business hours. No membership or no advance planning is required. Just bring your socks and come in whenever you feel like it.

Is the playarea really supervised?

Yes. We always have staff in the playarea to play with your kids and keep an eye on them so you can sit back and take a deep breath.  It may feel strange at first to be able to have a few kid-free minutes to yourself, but you'd be surprise how better you feel after taking some time for yourself to sip your coffee in peace, read a magazine or talk to your friend..... all while your child is happily playing nearby.

Do I have to stay in the cafe?

It depends. The $8 admission fee is good for all day and requires that you stay with your child. 

We do have a separate drop off service that allows you to drop off your child with us for $12 an hour ($6/hr for each additional sibling) for a maximum of 3 hours.

Can I bring outside food?

No. Our cafe has an extensive menu offering a wide variety of foods that will please any palate.

Can you open an At Play Cafe in Loudoun/Alexandria/DC/Baltimore/etc?

We know that many of you travel from long distances to visit us and we really appreciate that.

We are currently seeking investors/partners to open additional locations. Please let us know if you’re interested in helping us expand. We will be holding a information meeting on Friday, July 23rd at 7:00 to discuss how you can help us expand. Kids are welcome to play in the playarea for free. If you are interested in opening a Play Cafe, this will be a good opportunity to get some questions answered. Registration is required.
